Booking Conditions

General Booking Procedure

We welcome your enquiry; to secure your booking a 50% deposit is required

Payment can be made by direct debit to our nominated bank account or by arrangement credit card on the phone

The balance of the payment will be due 14 days prior to sailing including any specific requirements that might be added options

Prices

All prices are in $AUD and include 10% GST and are subject to change without notice and are BYO - food, beverages and ice

Surcharge for public holidays may apply. Seasonal rates may apply

Unsafe Weather

As with any outdoor activity company we cannot guarantee a blue sky. If the weather is rough or dangerous for boating, at the discretion of Jervis Bay Sailing Charters management as well as the captain on the day, we will postpone and reschedule the charter

Rescheduled charters are generally taken within the current season of the original booking date (an extension may be possible by discussion on a case by case basis)

Payment will still apply for catering or optional staff arrangements in the event of postponement

If you choose not to reschedule, the charter will then be considered as a cancellation, and fees will apply - please see Cancellation information below

Jervis Bay is known as one of the nicest and safest waterways being well protected from most strong winds and offshore conditions

Cancellation

If the charterer cancels the charter within 30 days of the date of the charter, the deposit will be forfeited

If the charter is cancelled inside 14 days and full payment has been made the whole charter fee which may include catering, or options will be forfeited

If notice of cancellation is 31 days or greater the deposit will be refunded less a 50% booking and administration fee. All payments for November, December, January and Public holidays are not refundable

Vessel

In the event of a mechanical problem to the booked vessel, Jervis Bay Sailing Charters reserves the right to change the vessel to another of similar type and capacity in order for the charter to be completed or reschedule charter to another date

Catering

Guests are welcome to BYO food, beverages and ice.

The excellent Cafes in Huskisson are able to make up picnic packs with notice. Alternatively, we can suggest our recommended caterers

Swimming

The waters are beautiful clear and clean and the waterway is generally very sheltered, guests can swim only when the boat is anchored or stopped on a mooring however snorkelling, swimming and jumping or diving off the boat is at guests own risk

TOYS AND FISHING

We do not offer fishing tours so please don’t bring rods or equipment as we operate in marine sanctuary zones and have no permits for fishing

Please don’t bring inflatable pool or other toys as space is limited and pool floats can be dangerous if windy in open water may blow away and may not be able to be recovered and we don’t want to risk leaving plastics in the ocean

ALCOHOL

BYO is welcome but limited to RSA compliance and safe boating we suggest strong liquor is not encouraged. Intoxication is not allowed
